Whooping Cough Vaccinations

Otter Co-op Pharmacies will offer Whopping Cough vaccinations at both Aldergrove and Abbotsford locations beginning Friday March 2.  The vaccination is free to those in the following categories:

·         Adults  and  youth  over  the  age  of  10  years  who  have  ongoing  contact  with  young  children  AND  who  have  not  had  a  pertussis‐containing  vaccine  in  the  previous  5  years 

·         Aboriginal  adults  and  youth  over  the  age  of  10  years  who  have  not  had  a  pertussis‐containing  vaccine  in  the  previous  5  years 

·         Pregnant  women,  (particularly  in  the  second  half  of  pregnancy),  and  their  partners  who  have  not  had  a  pertussis‐containing  vaccine  in  the  previous  5  years.  Tdap  is  safe  in  pregnancy.
